I have a 2007 Gulfstream 232 with a Raymarine C120. Recently I had an issue with "DSM Connection Lost " showing on the screen and continuous beeping warning sound at the same time. Does anyone know the location of the DSM30 and the issues with it?

It’s a separate sounder module. Looks like a gray box. It’s probably behind your C120, you might have to remove the unit and look back there. They were known to have problems and sometimes just quit working. I had one that was very temperamental and ended up replacing with a Raymarine Axiom with built in sounder.

I remember whoever wired my DSM put it on an accessory switch so that had to be on for it to work.

I'm going to guess it is a 15"X8"X 3" or so box. Clearly labeled on the outside. No serviceable parts. You can lose the DSM if you 12V droops. Check your batteries and also if you are running anything at the same time. I can loose mine for a minute or so when using the anchor windlass when batteries are getting on in age.

As other's alluded to, these are often wired to an accessory switch on the switch panel. Make sure that any accessory switch is "on". I can't tell you the number of times the aux switch has been inadvertently switched off by me or a crew member.

What Fishtales said. They are very, very voltage sensitive. You will find that warning anytime you aren't at full voltage. It was one of the many weak spots of the system.
