Raymarine E Series Users

I upgraded the software on my displays to the new version on the the Raymarine website and unfortunately found a bug that caused the display to lock up.

I ended up backing down to the previous rev V.3.31. Which works fine.
I opened a ticket with Raymarine and they will have a fix later in the year.

Suggest anyone running the displays with radar not upgrade to the V4.29 code.

The C and E series code loads are pretty easy to do with a compact flash card and programmer/reader versus the prom based earlier version displays.

It is my understanding that you have to do a full system reboot and it will correct the problem.

hi,
not so. you have to reboot the display as part of the procedure. i loaded the v4.29 and the problem happened every time, when i went back it is fine. Raymarine is working it now.

i should state that i am running the non-HD radome. maybe with the HD radome it works. i'm in the computer bus and this is a code bug.
