I have a 1995 268 islander (in imacualte condition) with a 2001 250HP Yamaha OX66 2 stroke. I would like to upgrade the powerplant to twin outboards.
1.) Should I repower my single 250 with 2-200HP 4 stroke late models? Will the value of the repowered vessel be worth the investment? (I could probably sell my 250HP for about 5K)
2.) Should I purchase a newer boat (maybe a 272 or 300) with twin 4 strokes already on there?
3.) Does anyone know where I can pickup a pair of used 2006 or later 4 strokes for a good price?
