Well it was bound to happen and it did. I got my first invoice for the boat loan on my new Freedom 225 and it's a whopper. It's twice as much as the payment I was making on my old Parker, but I figured the new payment wouldn't hurt too much because for 14 years the old payment was automatically coming out of my pay check. WRONG!!!! But it is what it is and Lile Popeye the Sailor woce said, You buttered your bread and now you have to sleep in it.

Are you sleeping on the couch yet? :D if not, hide the monthly invoices from the admiral! Good luck, and enjoy the new Grady. That's a beautiful boat for sure.

You spent that kind of money and didn't know what the payment would be? :huh

Payments? I thought eveybody pays cash for their toys.

I checked out a new 225 at the boat show last month. The next day bought my '01 for $28k. 3.99APR for 240 months (APR was LOWER on a 10 year loan??)- so $274/mo. I do plan to pay it off much faster than that though.

The MSRP's on the brand new Grady's are insane I know you get what you pay for but whoa!!

Make payment due first of month and cry all day , then enjoy boat the rest of month first of next month same process. In other words it only hurts once a month. :praise
