My 228 has all that space to set stuff on, the flat area over the cabin to the left of the helm. But everything slides off, right? Well not now, it doesn't.
I got some weather stripping from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZMWBY19 and put a piece across the flat spot. I was out in water so snotty that I came home at 12-14mph, bouncing all around, and nothing came off. Held my phone, a bag of trail mix, etc., perfectly. I'm very pleased.

Good idea!
I was thinking about how to use the huge (and for the distance bad to reach) space over the console on the Bimini/Canyon.

However, I bought some cheap silicone non slip mat's for my RIB and they got cooked from the sun and don't worked for more than a couple of months. A better quality mat may will work longer, but have not tried it.
