Hey All,

After 20+ years running and loving my 208 I can't hear the VHF radio speaker which i have mounted to the right under the helm. I think I finally need to run a remote speaker. The question is to where? I want it far from my compass and without visible wiring. I do have an after market hard top.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I have speaker in the mike, on running (noisy) I can put the mike to my ear for listening. Can hear the call on the VHF then I respond with the mike.

I have a remote speaker in my 208. Make sure you get a magnetically shielded model. I used the
Poly-Planar Waterproof Marine VHF Radio Extension Speaker

My radio is under the dash and the speaker is kept in the electronics box. When boating, I take it out and lay it on the dash. I have a loud 2 stroke on that boat and the radio is hard to hear in general. I am thinking about a suction cup mount of some sort that can be stuck to the side starboad windshield to get the speaker closer to my ear:)
