I have a waterside screw hole on the transom that needs filling/repair.
What material does anyone recommend ? It is under the swim platform above the waterline, should I use a screw with 5200 ?
Thanks

Drill out slightly in order to get clean glass/wood, countersink outside edges of hole, paint inside of hole w/ unthickened epoxy (be sure to coat the entire surface of the wood and glass and do not allow to cure), fill hole w/ epoxy thickened w/ cabosil (inject with a small syringe), sand down once cured and gelcoat.

epoxy repair must be protected by gelcoat or paint, can't be exposed- weakens due to sunlight. Hence marine tex - to the rescue.

I tend to lean towards the Marine-Tex, maybe with a gelcoat cover for looks. Want the hole in the transom to be filled with a marine grade product - Marine-tex seems to fit the repair very well
Thanks for all your advice.
