Is there a specific parts house to go to for older parts to repair Yamaha outboards? Looking specifically for a regulator for a 2000 250hp OX66, but there will be a need ongoing to keep it running.

Make sure you have correctly determined that the rectifier is bad. It isn't cheap.
The service manual has the diagnostic tests to eliminate other charging components.

FYI I replaced rectifier on 2000 225 OX66. I ordered it without testing because I wanted to get it asap...
Turned out to be the stator
