I would like to replace the Guest Battery Charger on my 1990 Marlin. I contacted Guest and they no longer make a 40 amp unit. They suggested I contact another manufacturer but would not provide me with a name. What do you guys suggest for another make and model? I run with 4 x Series 27 60 amp Deep Cycles.

Thank you.

If you can't get a single 40A charger for four batterys, get two 20A units.

Thanks for the suggestion Bob. My existing unit is mounted on a bulkhead under the live well and there is not much room for anything larger than my existing charger.

Promariner makes one for 4 batteries, 30A not 40A.

Google Professional Mariner Battery Charger

I believe you are best served with a waterproof unit, there may be other more powerful designs of ventilated construction.

When you Google the above, another brand shows called Dual Pro - has a 4 bank unit, 40A. Claims to be waterproof.

I don't have experience with this brand, I do with ProMariner - can recommend theirs.

Good luck

VanGrady,
I can get you a new ProMariner 4-bank, 30 Amp ProTournament for $365, shipping included. We use ProMariner at ProLine. The best thing about them, besides being waterproof, is the fact that if one, or two batteries are fully charged, it takes all the amperage and puts it to the batteries that aren't. So you always get your 30 Amps worth. Drop me a line at seabod4@earthlink.net if you're interested.

I've gone through 2 Guest chargers in 4 years - Stay away, they're pure junk
ProMariners are a much better choice.
