I have an '83 Kingfish and am looking to replace the port and starboard wood rod holders (the ones located under the gunnels) with the same pattern racks made of Starboard or similar. Can anyone recommend a fabricator that has done work for you?

In addition looking for opinions from folks who have replaced their teak trim cockpit trim with Starboard or similar. From what I have read it appears that Starboard expands too much for this application. My other option would be to replace the teak which would not be much of a project.

Those rod holders (assuming they are similar to mine) should be a pretty easy DIY project. But if you're not up to it, Jbrinch (I think there are some numbers after his name - you should be able to find him by searching) does starboard work. He's a member on this forum. You have probably seen his posts - he's been around for a while.

For the trim, I believe PVC expands and contracts less than HDPE.

Try this guy. No affiliation, but his work looks good.
