Replacing hatch seals

While I am sure you guys have links to places that have exact matches for hatch seals, is there an easier way... like, maybe a roll of weather stripping you have used that worked well or better to replace weather stripping on hatches that is falling off?

McMaster Carr, online, is a great source for weatherstripping - they have LOT'S of options and I'm sure you'd find something that fits. If the rubber is still nice, though, get some good double-sided tape and reapply. Heck, you could even use some adhesive caulk with masking tape to keep it in position while it dries.

Thanks, Dennis. I will inspect it and see how it looks and do what ya said if it is worth saving. Oddly enough, most the hatches seem in pretty good shape, but a couple are like that. I also want to get the cabin hatch to latch better. Right now, hard to get the latches to lock and the cabin forward window is really loose. Nothing major... just a fun list of fixes

I think some 3M double sided tape adhesive would work perfectly. With a pencil, mark where the seal is now on the area that remains (should be enough to get you started and follow the line).
Remove the entire seal. Clean with alcohol. Peel and stick on side of the adhesive strip onto the boat where the seal will go. Peel and stick the other side as you go and install the seal as you go.

Will be taking note of all the seals this weekend as well as... time to test ALL the pumps and flush all water tanks. First... gotta mow.. lol. Then.. BOAT time

Once I figure out what all needs to be fixed/patched/replaced with those aspects, I plan to drop the lower units... I figure then, I can make a single trip to the store for what is needed.
I am told one of the bilge pups is not behaving, so will be checking that out as well and getting a good idea of what the underside looks like.

Never pulled access panels before on the boats, so debating if I want to even look under the gas tank access panel just yet lol...but I am betting that panel will give me a really solid look at the structure and if there is anything "screaming" to be repaired right off the bat. For now... at least till this fall, I think I have enough to keep me busy heh... so, probably wait till it cools off to pull that baby.

Hrm.. I better get some sealant...beforehand, just in case.

In pinch I used some superglue to reattach a bunch of mine. I assumed it was just a temporary fix, but they've lasted a couple of years I think...
