My boat (1989 252 sailfish) has an old toilet installed -(portapotty type)- and the bellows pump for flushing is leaking. There is not a maceator pump installed, the Y-valve was rendered inoperable by previous owner I guess to prevent inadvertant discharge. It does have a hose from the Y-valve to a deck fitting for pump out. I wanted to install a new portapotty with pump out capability and for when I am offshore. The power for the pump is there behind the aft removable panel in the head, looking for anyones insight or experience with this setup. If you currently have this setup could you tell me what you have and how you like it? Which model of potty do you have? Which pump? Where is the pump installed and how the hose is routed?
Pictures would be awesome. I realize the head is really not very functional but in case of "emergency" would make the admiral happy!
Thanks,
Dave
