Hi everyone
I have a 93 Sailfish and I trying to find out if the transom can handle twin four strokes
Thnx

Depends on the condition of it. If it's in good shape, yes...though the extra weight may put your scuppers underwater.

Note that Yamaha 4-strokes require mounting on 29" center instead of the 26" that the boat is drilled for. You can put them on, but I think the cowlings will hit at full turn (maybe only when tilted).

The transom isn't the issue. The motor weight isn't going to hurt the transom, the 400 HP pushing on it while pounding in the water will. Aside from the Yamaha motor spacing, the common problem with 4 strokes is the added weight pushing the scuppers lower and throwing the boat's balance off. On a stock bracket/transom the Zuke 175's are popular or the 200 4 cyl Verados. If you have an aftermarket bracket with floatation, you can try others.
