I know I'm bringing up an old thread but I would love (almost need!) to see the restoration pictures. I'm in the process of restoring an 85 Trophy Pro and need all the help I can get
Very, very nicely done. 3 years give you alot of time for details eh? Teak looks great, hold onto that as long as you can, adds so much character to the boat.
Time to chronicle the project with pics from start to finish. I for one would enjoy every pic you have. Been there.
Hey guys- thanks again for the kind words. Part of the three year restoration was having two kids- and now I can enjoy the boat with them. In fact tonight my oldest son (3 1/2) caught his first fish...although it was a SeaRobin he was absolutely ecstatic!!! I almost cried I was so happy for him.
Anyway, I have attached the links to some of the posts I made detailing some of the restoration. I finished everything up prior to this season. That included non-skidding the helm floor, installing the teak cabin door, installling the rear valence panel...and various little odds and ends. I also switched to a pair of 17P props.
Although it was a very labor intensive and time consuming project the first compliment I got made it all worth it. And, not to brag but, everywhere I go people comment on how clean it is.
They don't believe it when I tell them the boat is 26 years old!!
I will try to take some updated photos and I have a ton of restoration pic's so if there is anything in particular you want to see just let me know. Thanks again...Bob
