I was very happy to get a new GPS cable into my display. The original cables had been cut and joined above the support. That worked great for so many years but I didn't want to cut the new cable. I used WD40 to get the old cables slick as they had grunge on them. It was a bug tussle but I got that connection through the support.

My boat had two GPS pucks, one going to each Furuno display. Furuno tells me I can share that info as the displays are networked, old VX2 displays. I cut the old cable from the second display and pulled that cable to make more room in the support.20220831_094745.jpg20220831_101401.jpg20220831_110833.jpg

it's not a good idea to cut and splice modern transducer cables. Splicing can change the electrical characteristics of the signals.
