Does anyone have pictures or ideas for installation of a Sea Keeper 2 on a Freedom 307? I am interested in installing for non boaters that are on board but trying to confirm a location of the device. I have talked about installing in the rear deck locker where the battery bank is currently, but some concerns in depth and accessibility to other pieces of the boat itself. Trying to get a general idea of a successful location for next steps on my end in installation. Would love to hear from anyone who has successfully completed this project. If anyone does have this installed on their 307, I would love to chat directly with you. Please let me know what you think!

Was it an option for your model year? If not, installing it can be a big job. The gyro puts the hull structure under very large forces and the stringers and bulkheads need to be stronger than usual.

I also thought and I could be wrong' that you can not buy and self install. You must use a factory authorized shop

Dear Suspicious,
I noticed that but what the heck. Might be a new boater.

I'd like to know where it goes. Not a lot of space down there.

I stopped by the Seakeeper booth at the NY Boat show as well as the Dometic booth to see their new gyro y=system. AsI thought, you can not self install, mainly because there are structural issues to be looked into.
The Dometic was interesting having some innovative features, the most interesting is that it has an internal lithium Ion battery pack and battery management controller. The spin up time is 16 minutes, way quicker than Seakeeper. The most mind blowing parameter is the spin up current draw on the boats electrical system..ZERO!
It uses its internal batter for spin up and uses regeration during spin down to recharge the battery pack, similar to hybrid vehicles. Of course there is some boat poer needed to top off the battery pack but there is no need for separate house batteries.

The Express 340 on display had the Seakeeper option. It was priced at $68,000.. Yikes The 340 is a huge boat:)

On a final note, the fit and finish of the boats on display was decent. Many of the boats I panned last year for finish issues have made improvements.
Show prices on boats when displayed were in the range of 9% to 11% off of MSRP
