When I bought my used 1994 Seafarer 228G if came with these cup holders that were screwed into the railings (teak) on either side of the port and starboard jump seats. Since both holes are at the bottom, a mug with liquid higher than the holes will move around while underway and topple over. Any better suggestions or solutions out there for cup holders up front? I've looked around and haven't been able to find anything that I loved and holding a mug underway with the wind blowing when it's 40F out is not enjoyable.

These are the cup holders:

There's all kinds of cupholders out there - google for it and/or add more descriptors like "screw in" or "surface mount", for example.

Do you have the real estate to just drill a hole for a drop-in cupholder?

Can you drop a drop-in cupholder into your existing ones?

If not, make a simple bracket to simulate your existing ones, but big enough to allow for a drop-in.

Just throwing out some ideas - should get you started.
