Anyone know what pump was used on a 2000 Seafarer? Mine starts off sounding strong, but within 5 seconds the rpms are way down, and a low voltage warning starts flashing on my GPS. I will try it with a jump box next to the pump, to rule out wiring, but I want to be prepared when I go down Thursday.
 
If it is a separate external macerator pump, it probably looks like the following

The impeller and grinding blade are replaceable but if your pump is original, I would replace the whole thing. It is possible that there is something jamming the impeller and that is causing the excessive voltage drain but it is also possible that there is a wiring issue that is causing a voltage drop. In all cases, you will need to remove the old pump and test it. Note that getting the hoses off of the fittings may be impossible with out cutting them and that may mean you will need new hoses installing new hoses. If the hoses are also original, they should be replaced. Just be prepared for a some frustration.
 
This is the new pump that I just put in my 1999 228 Seafarer back in May, it matched perfectly with the original pump7887E6CB-2C21-444B-AC6C-A9E85DB615B3.jpeg
 
As indicated, it's worth taking the old one out, cleaning, and testing. Mine looked like a total throwaway, but worked like a charm after some calcium deposits and mold were removed.
 
Yeah, I'll probably see if I can 'sniff out' the problem this week-end. Haven't ordered a replacement, so unless I can get WM to price match, it won't get changed this week.

Have to work on some comfort items. The steering knob always seems to be at the bottom of the wheel, which drives me nuts, and there is no place to rest my feet, so that my legs are not hanging. Ordered a couple of Garelick adjustable foot rests, which should be there by Friday. Even at 50% off, they still seem overpriced, to me. Also looking to replace the hard plastic arm rests with something cushioned. The left one is always in my rib cage. Anyone have any suggestions?
 
Don, thanks for the pic, but mine is the same design that Seasick linked in post #2. Large inlet on the end, and small discharge on the side. Do you have something other than the square Sanipotty?

As far as the foot rests, I don’t understand why Grady didn’t install the helm foot rest at the same location as the copilot foot rest. I guess so that you can stand and steer but I’m going to move the helm foot rest this winter and modify so it sits level so my feet don’t hang as well.

Don, please tell me the brand and model of that toilet. I have been meaning to ask if anyone had a china toilet on a Seafarer. I suspected yours was different. I think the pump you showed supplies water to the port side of the toilet for flushing, and there is another macerator pump somewhere on the starboard side, judging from the larger hose on the discharge side of the toilet. Mine is under the removable panel on the stb side of the vee berth. Do you have a holding tank there also, or straight discharge overboard thru the macerator?
 
I am going to add a foot rest to the helm chair, just like the passenger’s. I don’t believe it will be in the way standing up, as it does fold flat against the box that it will be mounted to. Unfortunately, the two that I was able to buy without paying $300 apiece are the ones with the 18° angle. I am going to cut a wedge out of 1 1/4 inch starboard to bring the foot rest level. Hopefully that will not interfere with it staying upright when not being used. They are the ones that are adjustable to four different levels.

Thanks. Remember that you must have the thru hull secured in the closed position inside the 3 mile limit.(USCG) A zip tie will suffice.
If you know the answer, I would still like to know the model name or number.
