No such thing as "best" :)

Look a few posts before yours - there is a recent thread about this. If you search, you'll find lot's of threads 'bout this! :)

Thanks. Guess I should of looked before posting sorry bout that!

GE Silicone II Almond color. That is what GW and their dealers use.
I don't know if it was a recent sealant thread or maybe from a little while ago, but I remember that someone posted that either Grady or his dealer uses the BoatLife products. I suspect it may come down to a specific dealer's preference. For example, the Sea Ray dealer where I work uses the BoatLife stuff pretty much exclusively. Like Grady, Sea Ray is a top notch company. Again, preferences - if it's something that's going to be opened up again within a year or two I would stick with the less expensive GE stuff. Otherwise, the BoatLife is a longer lasting product.

I have a question. Are you asking about sealing the deck floor piece covering the entire fuel tank or are you talking about the inspection ports ? If you're talking about the panel covering the entire fuel tank , almond GE silicone II like Fishtales said. If you were talking about the inspection ports, well don't seal them .

I'm thinking OP is talking about the rings for the inspection plates. Either the GE or Boat Life products will work. If it's the plates themselves, get new O-rings.

This is what I use on everything except for my cheerios. Works great and when you need to take apart, it is actually possible. 5200 will outlast itself but nothing is ever permanent.
