I am going to remove and re-seal a leaking Gill bracket on my Tournament 225. What is the recommended sealant? I was thinking of using 4200. Anyone know what Grady used?

I used 4200 to re-seal my 228 Seafarer. 4 years later still waterproof.
Good luck!

I have a 232 and scraped the sealent from around the transom and bracket and resealed with 5200. I did not remove the bracket. Resleased the top and bottom acesss plates with 4200 and in 2 years haven't had an issue.

I use sika marine grade 291 but you will have to cut the sealant if you want to remove it at a later stage.

Used 4200, just in case I have to remove it someday. It was really tough to get off. took a little gel coat with it.IMG_0938.JPG
