The seal on my helm is leaking. I bought the replacement seal but it is a 1/4 inch too small. Mine is 1inch interior diameter vs. the 1 inch exterior diameter. I am not having any luck finding this "lip seal". It is a 1990 Grady 24 Offshore.....Helm is original to the boat I am assuming.

There will be a model number on the bottom of the helm pump. Use that number to order the correct seal. Do not get it from Amazon or any other non-marine store. If you do it will be a China knock-off and it will not last.

what site would you use to order the seal?

I would get it from these guys. They have a large shop here in the town I live in. They specialize in building and repairing Sea Star equipment of all sorts. They have techs there to answer your questions, and they will give you trade-in value on your old equipment if you buy from them. They will know what you need if you give them the info on your pump.

If you want to look up the number and shop elsewhere, here is the catalog.
