me & pete were trolling for bluefin etc.. out about 17 miles from manasquan inlet (area called little italy) on a calm clear day. we hooked on to a stick about 5' long. i reeled it in, as i was leaning over the gunnel to unhook the stick about 3" in diameter, i noticed it was hollow at end & had a little crab hanging out in there. i turned around to pete and said " check out the crab in here " he turned white and looked horrified ! i turned back to the water and under me about 5' down was a great white shark almost the size of my boat! pete got so scared he dropped onto the deck, i went to the helm and took off!! lines in the water & everything! we werent expecting that. like that other guy said, you realize the boat is the only thing keeping you from the bottom of the food chain. a week later we were within 2 miles of the same area me pete & 2 other guys. about 50 yds away we see a dorsal fin like the size of a stop sign, then about 10 ' behind his tail fin pops up.

They're really a miracle of evolution.

"All they do is swim...eat...and make little sharks...That's It.."

"Love to prove that wouldn't ya?? Get your name in the National Geographic.."

There are few movies in cinema history that have the acting ability of the men in Jaws..Absolutely incredible..even after 30-plus years it's timeless.

And, you know, the thing about a shark...

... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes.

Fishing Avon N.C.

I've caught a 3' blacktip surf fishing about 10' from shore...Plus tons of spiny dog fish there and in O.C. MD that were 4' and 15 pounds.
There is a guy who fishing the point and has a fighting chair mounted on his 4x4 P/U with a spreader bar that at 8 rods and reels. He has sand anchors on the front on the truck. He told me he had on that started to pull his full size truck in. He uses a small inflatable with a 2 hp to run the baits out.

Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I want to go to bed
I had a little drink about an hour ago
And it's gone right to my head

Wherever I may roam
Through rain or sea or foam
You will always find me singing this song
Show me the way to go home

...That's my best shot....

Is he using a winch or a reel? I can't see any reel even a 130 or Avet quad being able to pull a full size truck in 4WD that is in gear or park.

close enough for the prize!...

Show me the way to go home
I'm tired and I wanna go to bed
Cause I had a little drink 'bout an hour ago
And it went straight to my head

Wherever I may roam
On land or sea or foam
You can always hear me singing my song
Show me the way to go home
Bum Bum Bum....

I love that song! :D
