From what I have read and heard, a good conventional prop will be about as good as the Sharrow from an efficiency standpoint. The gain will be with lower noise, lower vibration and improved low speed traction including reverse.
A lot of people hate on them due to the price point, yet people buy new boats for tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars more for a warranty. I can't comprehend that, but obviously it resonates with many. So why hate on a someone who wants to offer a prop for 5x more if someone wants to own one? It has its benefits. You have decide if it is worth it.
