So I did a 505 Mile trip from Middletown NY to Cohasset MA and back today to pick up my one owner 2006 Seafarer 226. Left at 0430 and returned at 1530. Brought the GSD puppy too.
Now the fun begins: Clean and lube all isinglass, fix zippers, fix strap on Bimini, wash interior cushions, and wipe down interior, it is pretty clean to start.
Spray motor with Yamaha Shield, and fill small cracks in transom bracket with 4200. Small gel coat chips with Marine Tex or similar, wipe down and clean cushions, bring to slip and go catch stripers!
She is named the Salty Dog, I'm going to keep it, I had/have a few German Shepherd Salty Dogs. My current one actually took the trip with me today.
I also have to learn what all the buttons are for, check the wiring, bilges, pumps, hose and maybe compound and wax hull.. Looking forward to it.
Any suggestions?

I'm going to be in the Newburgh NY yacht club. It is a click North of West Point on the Hudson River. Besides boating locally, I plan a trip to the Long Island Sound-Port Jefferson area to see my brother, maybe an overnight trip to Liberty Island Marina to go into the City and of course North up the Hudson. Just trying to get her ready for the fast approaching Striper season

Questions: Are you guys running Ring Free or Sea Foam? Also best way to take care of isinglass?

Russ that is my cousins house, Cohasset MA Bay just South of Boston. He is surrounded by water on 3 sides. Absolutely beautiful.
