Side Shade Curtains -Mesh perhaps?

My wife is very sensitive to the sun. Has anyone ever seen or heard of a mesh screen shade for the sides where the isenglas panels slide in?

Not on a Grady, but on a 29 Back Cove I had mesh curtains that covered all the cabin windows, including the windshield.
Guess any marine curtain shop could make the panels, then add snaps to secure them.

I would be concerned that the screens would reduce visibility. Perhaps a roll down/roll up inside option would be better.Pull down shades are common in sailboats. If your needs are just for anchoring, simple shade material with a binding edge and snaps would probably be simpler. You could try some big box store window screen material and a roll of peel and stick Velcro as an experiment and go from there

If you're doing this INSTEAD of eisinglas, that's exactly what you'd do - have panels made to slide in - but instead of clear vinyl, use a sun blocking material. Whoever you choose to make the panels will know what to do. If you have eisnglas, but don't ever use it - then either attach with snaps as mentioned, or just cut the vinyl out and sew in the fabric.

But you won't find this off-the-shelf - you'll need to go to a company to make them (or send mail the existing ones).
