Simrad or Garmin gps?

I'm trying to get some feedback advice on Simrad nx40 or Garmin 3210.
I have a simrad ce32 but would like to upgrade. Could I use the transom mounted transducer from my ce32 for the new gps etc....
I would be greatfull for any advice so I can make an informed choice when it comes to parting with my cash.
