The past couple of boat overnights I've found the cushions for the forward berth on my Marlin to be stiff. Added a 2" memory foam layer, but it squeezes down early and still turns into "too firm". I'm open to thoughts from others on what you do or add to improve your sleeping quarters?

Thanks,
Tim

I went with a mattress topper memory foam mattress in my last boat, a sailboat. It seemed to work then. Just noticed the cushions are a bit stiff on my grady, so trying that next. I think mine is a 3 inch thick one. I have a 1.5" memory foam mattress alsofor the tent, and like you say, it isnt near hard enough. Ill try the 3" thick one out and see how it goes.

Agree with the inflatable REI, I might try that. And moving the rods is good advice. Elbows snagged on husky jerks at 2 am isn't cool or conducive to increased sleep.
