Does it really matter where i install the speakers? I was thinking of installing 2 in the aft section facing the cockpit or should they be placed along the side of the boat?
I don't see any reason why speakers would HAVE to be installed on the side. Underneath the two aft jump seats seems like a great place to put them. If you want to hear the sound while underway, though, putting them all the way aft may not allow you to hear things too well.
If it was me? I'd start with speakers at the helm. Aside from better sound when you're at the helm (and still good sound when you're trolling/drifting) It's probably a safer area for the speakers. Both from being kicked and moisture.
True i did get a set of marine grade speakers which are suppose to withstand saltwater. Picked up a boss marine audio speakers and boss bluetooth digital media marine gauge receiver and they claim it's all fully marinized
