In a 1998 272 Sailfish or similar layout what and where are you placing speakers?

I'm not looking for amazing just enough have some tunes while out fishing.

I have Fusion with RA-70N N2K that i have not installed yet. I did take out some crappy automotive system and 2 bose speakers hanging from the hardtop which I rather not use.

Just trying to get some ideas..

TIA

I'm running 2 Poly-Planar in the inspection ports and 2 more Poly-Planar mounted up under the sides at the helm. A Kenwood unit power's them. Probably not to a audiophiles liking, but they work for me.

I like the Fusion. I replaced the helm speakers and head unit UD650. I plan to put two more 6" in the cockpit along with an amp. Thinking where the cockpit lights are today as GW does with the new Marlins. I will relocate the cockpit lights nearby as I like and use them. Finally, jury is out on the 4" in the cockpit. I kept the Kenwood for now, but likely will change. The Fusion stuff is great BTW.

On my express I have 3 pairs of speakers all fusion. 2 4" in the cabin at the front of the V berth. 2 6" on either side of the upper helm electronics box. and 2 6" speakers on the steps to the workaround.

JL Audio 6.5 inch speakers. They sound great with only two, I had them on my Adventure 208. I am adding a fusion amp to my new system I am installing on my new Gulfstream, you might want to too. Also, the JL Audio speakers are built like tanks.

I have a pair in cockpit facing aft now for several years and they have done very well. I just moved my 6" speakers from the hardtop (another post) and moved to the gunnels.
They sound great! I have a 12" sub box mounted under the deck in the aft berth area that vibrates the entire boat, but sounds amazing!
