Well I searched the forum and found nothing so here goes. My new to me, 1985 Sailfish has been modified (previous owner) and the cover for the bilge access (inside the splashwell) has been reoplaced with a solid peice of diamond plate - then sealed (no access to stern bilge). I have the original fiberglass cover and intend to fix it up and reinstall it. Has anyone done tis? I can't tell how the original was secured (it has a standard screw out access port for regular maintenance). This cover needs to be water tight as seas definitiely come into the splashwell with the twin Yam 150s. The one way valves on the drains (all the drains) are weak and I need to refurbish these as well. Any suggestions about the fiberglass cover would be helpful.
