Has anyone replaced the back collapsible wall in front of the splashwell ?
Our wall {2 piece bifold wall} is shot and needs to be replaced.

I planned on getting (2) 3/4" pieces of white Starboard material and re-use the piano hinges from the deck and mid section, but I'm starting to re-think a hinged wall ?
Does a single piece make more sense ?, and make it just slide down from the top ?....(I like the idea of being able to get into the larger inspection hatch right in front of the wall I put in with the Motor tilted up.) in other words, the wall would be off to the side or in the cuddy when the motor is tilted up !

thoughts ?

Billfish,

When I was refurbishing my boat this spring, I only reinstalled the bottom half of the transom wave gate. The bottom half was more than enough to keep the seas out of the cockpit and alot easier to handle than the whole thing. My buddy with an 89 used a large piece of starboard to make a replacement gate for his. He got plastic sleeves and mounted them to the sides of the transom area and slides the starbord piece down into them and lifts it out, etc.
