Hello, I have a 2005 Sportsman 180 and earlier this week I experienced my first engine alarm sounding (in 6 years). The boat has been sitting idle in the canal behind my house for about two months. I went to start it last week and the engine alarm sounded as soon as I tried to start it. I thought it was a low battery so I charged both batteries and tried to start it again today with the same result. During this period the engine was tilted out of the water. The boat is in New York (Long Island). Does anyone have any suggestions or guidance? I did check the oil and it is low but I am not sure if this is because it is tilted out of the water. The engine is now titled down in the water in its normal running position.

Engine is a 2005 150hp four stroke.

thanks, madelia42
