Hello all,
Yesterday I was prepping the boat for paint, and noticed a rather large hole in the bottom of my engine bracket. I'm sure I am not the only one who has had this issue before so hopefully someone can guide me as to where I can get a replacement. I just spoke with Armstrong and they about 6-8 months out, which puts me at the end of summer. The Armstrong one also has a different bolt pattern, so I would need to plug the holes and make new ones. Not the end of the world to do the installation on a new one but at this rate I won't be boating this season. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a direct replacement, if it exists, if mine is repairable, or where I could find a used one.
This is a 1987 Seafarer 228, with a 200hp Evinrude Ficht on it.
Thanks,
