Hello all,
Just dreamin...but never too early to plan it out. As a neubie owner of a 2003 T 225 I would like to develop a list of item to have checked before I head out on the water. Last year was my first on Lake Champlain and alot of the 125hrs ( total engine hrs 230 )was at a trolling speed. The nearest GW dealer is 400 miles away so I'll have to ensure the marina tech here does my bidding. Engine was fogged in the fall.
1) Oil change should I use synthetic ?
2) Fuel filter change the filter
3) New plugs
4) New gear case Lube
5) Ring free with fill up.
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks,
Peter

I would think that all of that should have been done when she was laid-up for the winter. I know that I do all of that except change plugs...I put new ones in before splashing her. I was and clean and make sure every thing is working properly (lights, sea-cocks, of cours saftey stuff) was her up and HAVE FUN on your first ride of the year. :D :D

One thing that is missing from this list is the batteries...

I would remove the cables...clean the connections...check the water and top off with distilled if low, add some grease to the terminals, hook everything back up and give them a charge.

I assume you add ring free on every fueling...
