Gonna put Starlink on a 2015 Freedom 307 and am seeking some advice on the wiring in the hardtop. I wired some things in the past down the down-tube near the helm and it was incredibly difficult as it is just packed with other cables and incredibly difficult to thread even something like a replacement VHF wire down. Does anyone know if there is suitable 12V power that I can tap into somewhere in the hardtop already? Looking to avoid the hassel with the down tube!

Replying to my own thread in case others are looking into this. I ended up wiring a set of dedicated 12V power up the wiring tube into the hardtop to power the Starlink. The only other power in the hardtop that was I was able to identify was for my sun-shade and the anchor light. Both are switched via another accessory and I did not want to rely on that or the potential complications from the power draw from the Starlink.

Just run the wire down the exterior backside of the tube away from view. Drill a small hole to pass the wire through the helm cabinet and seal with silicone caulk. Zip tie cinch the wire tight against the tube. I did that and it’s fine.
