I have a 226 Seaferer and when I looked up underneath the steering console the steering box (don't know the technical term for the box that attaches to the steering wheel and steering cables) appears to have a a very slight oil leak. Is it possible to repair this? I assume it may be a gasket or seal issue. Can this type of repair be done on the steering box? or can it only be replaced? Is it a difficult repair? As I said the leak is very slight (sweating a drop every now and then) - is there any band aid fixes?
