Steering doesn't work on islander 268 / yami OX66 250hp. What should I check? There is a little orifice by the steering wheel. Do I fill this with hydraulic fluid? Help..

yes there is tube and adapter that connects to the fuller, you turn over the bottle and turn the steer wheel left and right while squeeze in the oil not letting any air in .

The Seastar tube fill is available from Amazon.com, about $9. I'd flush the whole system, sounds like you have a leak.

95 Islander, just replaced the helm this spring. Free spinning wheel at times, stuck check valve and a small leak at the steering shaft. Replaced with a tilt helm from Ebay for $400. (older model) Had to cut a 4 1/2 inch hole in the dash. You can try to fill and flush but there is a leak that will need to be dealt with later. Best of luck
