swivel rod holders

Hey guys,

Greate site. i always appreciated all the information I gained from this site. I was wondering if anyone put zero degree swivel rod holders on a 228 Seafarer? I am concern that i won't be able to replace the angled rod holders with the straight due to the orignal cut. The reason for the swivel rod holders is for BFT fishing with short bents. Any insight woukld be appreciated.

I installed a Lee Heavy-Duty, Extra-Long, 15*, swivel base rod holder on the starboard side, between the two factory rod holders. We use this for a long bent butt planer rod.

I installed a Lee Heavy-Duty, Standard Length, 15*, non-swivel on the port side, just to keep things (sort of) symmetrical.

Having three rod holders on each side is nice.

You can see the six rod holders in my signature photo below. Also installed a Lee straight (vertical) rod holder in the transom, and it can be seen as well.
