i have a 1990 overnighter with a 150 yamaha. steering is functional but its fairly hard to turn and when i turn it grease spits out of the drag link end. i am not sure whether there is anything wrong with the steering system or not but its not great. what is the stock lock to lock number? i have the big T system currently.

would i be wasting money to slap in a NFB 4.2? not sure how much diff it will make. im not going hydraulic, too expensive. also how long is the cable? Thanks.

I installed the no feedback system on my seafarer and I love it. It's not as good as hydraulic steering but the next best thing. What I like the most about it that when you are trolling you can let go of the helm and it will stay where you have it. My old system would turn to the right as soon as you let go of the wheel from the engine torque. The nfb system will stay were ever you put it. It IS worth the trouble.
