Second summer with our Marlin, and just wanted to thank you all. You helped me choose a boat, told me what gear I needed, and answered 100 newbie questions. We have spent every weekend aboard and I learn more each time and dont have everyone running for fenders and boathooks when backing into the slip! (Although I will say I cheat and stay out until dusk- waiting for the wind to die. Backing in with a stiff crosswind is ugly.) Sometimes- no problem, sometimes a chinese fire drill.
We were in Boston harbor for the 4th, and went back in Sunday to watch the tall ships leave.
Great times. How many times my wife and I sat on Good Harbor beach, watched a Grady moor off of Salt Island- and said "someday".
That day is here- dreams do come true.
Thanks again.
Mark
PS- look at my signature photo- "bow in"- now look at the flag on the pulpit. That bow kept whipping around backing in. I'll admit it- that day I gave up and lined off bow in!
