So, I have to left the boat without the axle. I have four 6000lb jack stands. If I place to on each side, you think they will hold the weight of the boat?

I have lifted the boat with my 3-ton stand, just enough to get the wheels off, but I never set it down on stands. I always had one side of the trailer on the ground, so a bit nervous.

I need to lift it up and remove the axle. The new one should be here b Tuesday.

If you’re so inclined you can make cribbing blocks out of lumber but those stands have a safety factor in their design and hold well more than 6000 lbs each. You should be fine with four of them holding your boat up; just make sure they’re in good condition.

Ended up cutting some 4x6 posts I had and will use 2ft sections of those instead heh

When I bought my new trailer I brought my boat to them on the old trailer . They lifted it with a sling, backed the new on under it and set the new trailer up for my boat.
Cost me about $200 to do that but it was worth the peace of mind.

Usually you need 5 (bow, 2 mid, 2 aft).
