Hi everyone,
I presently run 2 C-80's wired completely seperate with seperate antennas. each unit is seatalked to a seperate VHF. The port unit has the DSM 300 and Starboard unit has a smart heading sensor and radardome.
I plan on adding FLIR and need a video input which the C-80's don't have. So I'm thinking about removing 1 of the C-80's and installing an E-90 wide. I would like to keep my radar dome which is not digital and use the new E 90 mainly as a depth sounder and as a video input for FLIR. I think this would work best as I always run the GPS screen and doubt I would need the depth sounder while using FLIR.
I have a few questions,
1) Does anyone think I'm configuring this wrong? Keep in mind I am using 1 C-80 and 1 E-90 wide. So I can't nor do I want them tied together. And I will still use my old non digital radar.
2) Does the E series have better depth sounding capibilities then the Classic C series?
Thanks, Bob
