So, I was going to replace my ugly chrome over brass thru hulls but that project is a bit much since there is nothing wrong, just ugly..so, I decided to paint them and I think it came out pretty nice...

Next time you mask just tape over the edges in a linear fashion and cut around the circle with razor blade. You'll save some tape. :)

Smart moves. I changed all my thru hulls. Took a couple of days and my arms will never look the same.

they came out well. nice alternative to doing all the work to replace.

I just used Rustoleum.....I have been doing quite a bit of offshore fishing and had to do a little touch up but I am ok with that...I keep the boat on a trailer in a boat shed and it is never in the water more than a couple of days...

I hit them with metal polish (Brasso) every year prior to waxing the hull. They generally are in good shape.
