Have a 2005 265 Express. Just got back from pumping head out and monitor light still shows 3/4 filled. No way possible only thing that was in tank were chemicals. Any help?

Thanks

The panel that controls the overboard discharge and the "level" is a piece of "crap". I bought my '03 in '06 and the display never worked right. As long as the discharge pump works I was happy (even though I pump out at the dock).

I generally try to pump out every time I get fuel so not much of an issue for me...call the manufacture of the monitor switch, you may need to replace or send back for repair.

The float in the waste tank is the same as the ones used for the gas tanks. The problem is more than likely with that. It can be tested and should put out between 30 and 240 ohms depending on empty to full. I have had mine "stick" in a position for a bit, I am assuming due to the fact that there is shit and paper in there and that can sometimes prevent the float from moving freely. It has fixed itself when that has happened, from new "liquid" in the tank sloshing around and freeing the float. If the float has broken (happened to both of my fuel tank floats) it needs to be removed and replaced (fairly cheep around $60). I doubt it is the light indicator.

Agree with georgemjr. Try flushing with water from the top in an attempt to unstick the level sensor. I filled my tank with hose water, pumped, refilled a couple times and put some of the "Unique" digesting liquid in there and let it soak, it has worked good ever since.
