Went out yesterday out of Key Largo and got skunked . This has not happened to me in years. My son is know questioning my manhood and wondering if I am even his real dad.

Saw weeds and birds between 300 and 1,000 feet. Dragging ballyhoo, naked dolphin lures and cedar plugs. Nothing. Not saying you won't catch fish in August ,but right now in July it's spotty.

What is the rope on the chair for? I assume to keep it from turning....I have that problem, both turn and it blocks the walkway.. heh.. wish I had the other style seat on the port side.

I’m out of town. I haven’t heard the recent report. May have to go deeper. I usually do good at the 1800 to 2400 area where the drops are large. Check the gps area around these numbers. If you find some weeds here action is sometimes better when there is nothing going on in the shallower water. Would have better numbers for you if I were home with my gps. Lol. Also look up Floyd’s wall. Got some nice marlin last year on the wall trolling ballihoo heading south from islomorada.
