Does anyone have information on what the trailering height is on a Marlin 300; and, if so, what trailer were you using? Is your height measurement to the hardtop or anything mounted on top such as a radar unit, outriggers, etc? Thanks

In lieu of someone that is trailering their Marlin responding....
Personally, no - but from experience with hundreds and hundreds of boats....... In your Grady owner's manual will be dimensions/specs (avail online, too). The boat will sit roughly 2' off the ground when on a trailer. Does that get you close enough for what you're after?

I looked at the specs and the 2017 Marlin has a 9’9” bridge clearance and a 25 inch draft. Added together, that’s 11’10”. Then, adding 2 foot for height off the road puts the trailering height at 13’10”. With that said, I’ll need to check my routes for bridge clearances and make sure there’s nothing under about 14 1/2 feet. Thanks for the feedback.

Do what you can to minimize weight (fuel, water, waste levels). It's a beast to trailer and in some states you'll need a special permit. The 2' seems about right but should be easy to measure if you have a trailer. Could also shoot GW Cust Service via the web a question. They trailer them to the dealers and should be able to provide info pretty quickly.
Keep in mind the published specs for height probably doesn't include things like radar, outriggers/bases, and other antennas.
Mine is about 13' with the radar. My trailer is a 3 axle built for 15k lbs. It isnt a perfect trailer for the Marlin as it was built for a Cutwater.
I only tow it to the bay once a year in June and back in the fall. I have someone follow as it is too wide to be legal in ca. It works but it is stressful for me.

Jigstrike: thanks for the input about your trailering experience and your height estimate. I realize I made an error in my calculations above as the Marlin only has a 23 inch draft, which helps on trailering height. I’m curious what your tow vehicle is; I plan to pull this with a Ford F350.
Every year South Shore Marine in Ohio trailers a 300 to the boat show. I'm sure it won't be difficult for them to tell you.

My 99 marlin sits at 13' 5" to the top of the radar. On a Seahawk triaxle trailer, it is 10' 11" wide with the guide poles installed. By law every bridge under 15' must be marked, not that they follow the their own law, but its rare that a bridgeon the interstate is under 16', highwaysand byways is another story. Towing with a 2015 f450, boat, truck full of fuel is scaled just a tad over 24000lbs. I've towed it from Detroit to Houston when I bought it, no issues, I tow it 150 miles round trip to the ramp, maybe 10 to 15 times a year, never have I pulled a permit and never have I had a second look from the cops passing me up. This year planning a trip to Venice LA. And somewhere in Florida. She is a tank to pull but having the right rig to tow and the trailer in tip top shape you should not have any issues.

I appreciate the feedback on your Grady trailering height. I’m planning to move up to a Marlin from my current Grady Sailfish 272 which I trailer behind a Ford F350. It looks like the Marlin adds about 2,000lbs over the Sailfish; hopefully, it’ll work OK with my F350. I’m curious what vehicle you use for towing. Thanks.

My 95 Marlin is 12'8" to the top of the antenna mounts (folded down) I have my radar on a fold down mount. Triple axle Continental. Tows great behind my 2018 Ram 3500 dually.
