i just got a 03 209 escape, my question is when trailering should i leave the 2 access door in or take out, the ones in the back that give access to the batteries and the oil tank, would they bounce out if hitting pot holes or bumps?
That's an interesting question. I have never removed them but I rarely trailer. When I did I was not on high speed highways and left them on.
I haven't heard about them coming loose and to be honest, if they don't in rough seas, they probably won't with road bumps. I am interested in other comments.
I trailer my '03 208 and I have never thought about it till now. I have not removed them and tow it regularly 250 miles or so. I am going to leave mine in place.
