Seems that a lot of Garmin users are installing something like a B60(20degrees) through the hull not on the flat but more toward the center line. Will be removing a B744V from the starboard flat in my 2000 272 Sailfish and do not want to replace in kind. Thinking of installling a B117 0 degree transducer in the hole in the flat.
Understand that there will be some turbelence around the external flat pocket, but don't know the actual effect. Any thoughts/experiences???? Grady avoided offering an opinion.
