OP, there seems to be a lot of confusion here with the replies.
your post seemed to ask about internal bracketing that structurally joins the transom to the stringers. my 2000 chase does have them.
others, GW never made a "stepped hull", however many people refer to the hulls with a running surface that does not go all the way to the transom to have a "step".
