The 1994 192 that I bought unfortunately has a soft transom. The motor punched through the fibreglass on my second trip. Good thing it happened while leaving the dock.
When researching this boat I only found one other of this specific model that had this issue. The aluminum edging over the transom is the culprit as the fibreglass below is not sealed well enough underneath.
Aside from this everything ride ect. else about the boat is great.
The quote to repair the transom from the outside in is $3500.00 Sound Fair?
Are there any other issues or suggestions to the company doing the repair that I should make while we are at it?
